Remarketing and Retargeting

Post by jahid12 »

Imagine you are interested in buying a pair of shoes and you canada phone number list search for the term “shoes” on Google. You visit an online shoe store, but leave the site without making a purchase. Then you start to notice that several sites you visit display advertising banners with more ads for that online shoe store. Strange, isn’t it?

Not for the Google Display Network, which was able to map your previous searches and thus present results aligned with your interests. This phenomenon is known as retargeting: an English word that describes the practice of impacting again an audience that has already visited your website.

By adding cookies to users' browsers, a company can track the products or services of their preference so that, if they have not completed the purchase, they can show them advertisements for their products or services again on the banners of the websites they visit – including on their own website.

It is a way of trying to recover the purchase that has proven results. According to a study by CMO.com, retargeting campaigns have a considerable impact on conversion capacity, since the audience that receives such ads is between 50 and 60% more likely to make the purchase than the audience that did not receive them.

Remarketing works in a similar way, but in this case, personalized content is displayed through email marketing. Imagine: you have just accessed a travel shopping website, registered to see the offers, but ended up deciding not to buy. Then, you start receiving emails from the same website, with some promotions related to the trip you were looking for. It is also an excellent way to recover sales in a more discreet way, since the ads go to your email inbox.

The efficiency of retargeting strategies proves that online advertising should focus mainly on personalization, in order to deliver content that addresses the problems of your potential customer.

Affiliates
Affiliate marketing is a digital marketing strategy with which a company can achieve more sales through its brand ambassadors – here called “affiliates”, who promote services or products through their websites, blogs or social networks in exchange for a percentage of the profits.

This is a new trend in digital marketing because it expands the brand's network of ambassadors, generating positive buzz and projecting it into the market more naturally. Any company that wants to adopt a different strategy to retain customers and stand out from the competition can resort to affiliate marketing, as Amazon and Submarino have already done in Brazil.

There are already many platforms that are capable of “matching” companies and affiliates, so if you are a content producer and have a good and loyal audience, this will be a great opportunity to generate more profits.
